BOI'06 Online Re-run

The organizers of OWINF will run an online programming competition which will be similar to the Baltic Olympiad in Informatics 2006 on 2006-05-27 and 2006-05-28.

This competition is in no way officially related to BOI'06, but will use the same task set, test data and rules, as far as possible: You can view our modified rules here. Please also have a look at the notes, since they are also important.

Many thanks go to the BOI community, especially Matti Nykänen and Mikko Rauhala, who made this possible by sharing the data with us, but also to all people who were involved in the preparation of the data and the tasks.

An online registration interface and the task used for the practice session at BOI are now available. The URL of the system is:

http://owinf.business-code.de/

There are no awards whatsoever in this competition, but the results will be made public on this page, including the names of the top 50%, as far as they agree to that when registering.

The competition will take place as follows:

Day Start End
Practice Session till 2006-05-27 ? 06:50 UTC
BOI Day 1 2006-05-27 07:00 UTC 12:00 UTC
BOI Day 2 2006-05-28 07:00 UTC 12:00 UTC

The competition server is located in CEST (=UTC+2 for the time being) and will show its time in the web interface. This time will be used to start and stop the contest.

The results will be available some time after each day within the system and after Day 2 eventually be published here.

The rules, web pages (for this competition) and contest system will be written in English. The tasks will be presented in at least English (the binding version), Estonian, German and Russian. (Please note that other languages may be added here.)

If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to send them to me, Tobias Polley (rrayst@ this domain).
